Israel pregunta (en inglés) –
Hi, Teacher Janet.
I’m Israel and I’m using your page to study English and I’m so glad to study in that web tool. I´m in the Basic Lesson 4 and the Part 2 in the pronunciation section. In that section, it describes one word that means “Tear” = “romper” in Spanish. I knew that word meant “lágrima” in Spanish. Can you explain my doubt?
Janet explica –
“Tear,” cuando se pronuncia como “ter”, es “romper.” “Tear,” cuando se pronuncia “tier” es “lágrima.”
tear = lágrima
tear = romper
Ejemplos:
The tear fell down her face.
La lágrima cayó por su rostro.
Please tear the paper in two pieces.
Por favor, rompa el papel en dos pedazos.
